Join us for writing sprints on the Substack chat!
A private space for us to converse and connect
I’m excited to announce a brand-new writing support tool available to all subscribers of Doing the Writing Thing: the subscriber chat!
This feature acts very much like a group text messaging window within the Substack platform (via browser or app).
The chat is where we can meet up for motivational, supportive writing sprints, but you can also start discussions there with your fellow writers. For example, you may wish to get feedback on a paragraph you wrote or to discuss all things writing.
Here are some instructions from Substack on how to join the chat: “To join the chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss conversation as it happens.”
How to get started
Download the app by selecting this link or the button below. (Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.)
Open the app and then tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for the Doing the Write Thing chat inside.
Pop into the Doing the Write Thing thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
Hope to see you there!
